Configuration of the PCICFR- Local Groups

As discussed in User Authentication and Roles, people using the PCI/CFR software must belong to at least one of the PCICFR- Local Groups on the machine on which the software is installed.

It is possible to add Domain Groups to Local Groups. Therefore, if you have a multiple instrument installation, it would be advisable to create domain groups for each class of user and then add each domain group to the appropriate PCICFR- local groups on each machine.

Group membership is managed using the Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Computer Management application.

Right click on the group to which you would like to add a member and select Add to Group.

Press the Add button and enter either a domain group name or the user name of an individual user that you would like to add.
