The Color Picker

The color picker is used to select the fill and outline colors used by the drawing tools and the background and text colors used by the text tool.

To choose a new outline or text color (the pen color), click on the down arrow next to the right of the paint brush icon and pick the desired color.

To choose a new fill or text background color (the fill color), click on the down arrow next to the right of the paint can icon and pick the desired color.

To change the pen color of a previously drawn object, select that object with the Object Selection tool (the arrow) and then choose a new color using the color picker. You can set an existing object's color to the current color selection by selecting the object and then clicking on the paint brush icon. Changing the fill color of a previously drawn object works the same way, except, of course, you use the paint can icon.

To select transparent fills (so that you can draw hollow shapes, or superimpose text on the image with no solid background) click on the fill color down arrow and press the Transparent button.
