The Display Status Bar Command

The Display Status Bar command toggles display of the status bar at the bottom of the screen on and off.

The status bar is used to provide short descriptions of menu commands and button functions. If you don't find this useful and would prefer to use the screen space to display images, you may want to disable this feature. PCI/CFR remembers the setting of this option between sessions.
