PCI/Phenom Installation
Before you can use the Phenom version of PCI/CFR, you will need to acquire a license for the the Phenom™ Programming Interface (PPI). You also need to set the "API access" switch in the Advanced/Connectivity(4) settings page to "allow".
Additional configuration by editing the PCI.ini file with a text editor, such as Notepad is required. In standard PCI installations, the PCI.ini file is located in the C:\Quartz Data\Data folder. Modify the PCI.ini file to set the following parameters. Note that if these entries are not already in the PCI.ini file, you will need to add them yourself.
[Phenom]
PhenomID=10.0.1.2
Location of the Phenom, either as IP address(e.g., "10.0.1.2") or as Instrument id (e.g., "MVE01441684")
User= <User Name>
User name part of HTTP authentication.
Pass=<Password>
Password part of HTTP authentication.
AddDatabar=1
Set to 1 (one) to include data bar with image, 0 (zero) otherwise.
DatabarLabel=Phenom Image

TimeOut=30
Communication time-out in seconds. Recommended setting is 30.
Force8Bit=1
Set to 1 (one) to force 16-bit images to be acquired as 8-bit. Some versions of PPI do not support 16-bit images, in which case this setting should be set to 1 (one).
DisplayWidth=0.52
Specifies the width of the monitor in meters. This setting is required only for Phenom instruments with large monitors so that the magnification on the instrument and in the Quartz PCI/CFR software agree.
