TWAIN Data Acquisition from Light Microscopes
The TWAIN data acquisition method is used primarly for transferring data from digital cameras attached to light microscopes. It can also be used with scanners and standalone digital cameras.
TWAIN acquisition works by invoking a TWAIN driver provided by the camera vendor. This driver needs to be installed before you will be able to acquire images.
Before you attempt to acquire a TWAIN image, you need to select the active TWAIN device using The Acquire Select TWAIN Source Command.
After the TWAIN device has been selected you can acquire images by pressing the Acquire TWAIN button or by selecting the The Acquire TWAIN Image Command. After you initiate the Acquire TWAIN function, your device's TWAIN driver will load. Consult its manual for operating instructions.
