The Circle/Ellipse Drawing Tool

The circle/ellipse drawing tool is used to draw circles and ellipses on the image.

Before using the circle/ellipse drawing tool, select the width of the outline that you want to draw using the Line Width Selector and select the outline and fill colors using the Color Picker.

To draw an ellipse, move the mouse to the starting point of the rectangular region that contains your ellipse and press the left mouse button. While still holding down the button, drag the mouse to the opposite corner of the rectangular region and release the button. You can constrain the ellipse to be a circle by holding down the Shift key while you drag the mouse. You can indicate that the first mouse-click position should be the center of the ellipse rather than the corner of the bounding rectangle by holding down the Ctrl key while you drag the mouse. To draw a circle centered about the first mouse position, hold down both the Shift and Ctrl keys while dragging the mouse.
