The Display Waveform Command

During slow-scan acquisition, the waveform monitor provides a real-time display of the each line of image data as it is being acquired. It is very useful for adjusting the microscope's contrast and brightness settings.

The Display Waveform command toggles the waveform display on and off. If the waveform is not being displayed for a particular image, selecting the Waveform command will cause it to appear and a check mark will be placed next to the Waveform menu item. If the waveform is already being displayed, it and the check mark will be removed.
