Parameter List

The parameter drop-down list is used to determine which of the hue, saturation and intensity curves is to be edited in the Graph Box described below.

Graph Box

The graphical display represents a mapping of the pixel intensity (along the horizontal axis) to a particular combination of hue, saturation and intensity represented by the three curves (along the vertical axis).

The hue is represented by a blue curve, the saturation by a white curve and the value by a black curve.

Each curve is edited separately. To select the line to edit, use the parameter list described above.

The curves are made up of nodes connected by line segments. The selected node is colored black, the other nodes are white. The nodes are only displayed on the selected curve. To move a node, click on it with the mouse and drag it to its new location. To add a node, double click with the left mouse button at the location where you want to add the node.

To delete a node, click on it with the right mouse button.

Load and Save Buttons

Once you design a color palette, it can be saved to disk so that it can be recalled later and applied to other images. To save your palette, click on the Save button. A File Save Dialog will appear.

To retrieve your palette, click on the Load button. A File Open dialog will appear.
