Using Windows Explorer and Other 3rd-Party Applications

As discussed, the Secure Repository works by mounting a virtual disk drive, the Q:\ drive, in your system. As long as PCI/CFR is running and a user with appropriate access rights has authenticated, this drive is available to third-party applications to load data, simply by navigating to the Q:\ drive and accessing it like any other drive in your system. Similarly, the Q:\ drive will appear in Windows Explorer.

If a third-party application re-saves or overwrites a file, this action will be audited by PCI/CFR and the previous version will be securely stored. You can retrieve previous versions of files from within the File Manager using the Open Specific Version command.
