The Object Selection Tool

The Object Selection Tool is used to select the active object, to move or resize an object and to change the properties of an object.

To select an object, click the left mouse button on it. The selected object can be manipulated with the Overlay menu commands.

To move an object, hold down the left mouse button over the desired object and drag it to its new location. Release the mouse button when the object is in the correct position.

To change the size of an object, click the left mouse button to select the object. Then grab on to one of the handles that appear on the corners of the object by clicking and holding down the left mouse button. Drag the handle to change the size of the object. Release the mouse button when the desired size is reached.

Double clicking on an object with the Object Selection Tool will bring up the properties dialog for the selected object type (also see The Overlay Properties Command).
